Graham Codling, Choir Director

Choir Director Graham Codling

Graham Codling is a choral conductor, saxophonist, pianist, singer and composer.  He was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Canada and earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992.  He has worked as a music teacher in elementary, secondary and post-secondary schools.  He has also worked as a church musician in the United States and Canada.  Graham has a wide variety of musical interests.  He has played saxophone for a rock/pop revue band and also performed a blend of classical and his own music on the piano for private banquets.  His compositions span classical, jazz and Celtic folk genres, including many songs written for worship as well as choral and instrumental music.  Graham completed a master's degree in music from the University of Saskatchewan with a specialization in Choral Conducting in the spring of 2012.

Diane Bestvater, Accompanist

Accompanist Diane BestvaterDiane Bestvater graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the University of Calgary, and Master of Arts from the University of Western Ontario. She also holds an ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music and is a Colleague of the Royal Canadian College of Organists. Diane has been accompanying soloists and choirs since high school, and especially enjoyed being able to accompany her four children to advanced levels on their string instruments. Diane is actively involved in the Saskatoon branch of the RCCO, and regularly performs organ recitals in a monthly series at St. Paul's Cathedral. Diane is currently the organist and choir director at Zion Lutheran Church and she works as an Educational Assistant at E.D. Feehan High School. In addition, she has 20 piano and organ students. In her spare time, when there is any, Diane loves to read and knit socks for her kids!
